Greyhound Re-Homing rescues and/or rehomes greyhounds from Tamworth and surrounding areas. We also assist with connecting trainers to resources to rehome their dogs after they have finished racing, if we are unable to assist them at the time. We are a privately funded group, who receive no regular funding & have no association with the racing industry except for educating owners & trainers about the importance of re-homing their dogs after they have finished racing. All dogs that are re-homed through Greyhound Re-Homing are: - Desexed - Microchipped - Vaccinated - Flea & Worm Treated (Heartworm included) - Lifetime Registered on the NSW Companion Animal Register. Upon adoption, each dog is re-homed with: - A lead - A collar - A Muzzle - A Coat/Rug - An ID Tag Our adoption fees are $350 per dog (unless otherwise stated), which goes towards the desexing and other associated costs we incur. Greyhound Re-Homing does not have any paid staff, only dedicated volunteers! Who give up their own time and money to rescue or re-home some of the dogs that come into care. We are located in a small community in regional NSW, so fundraising is also quite hard for us... Which means that most of the funds used comes from our own pockets, whether it be pound release fees or desexing operations... We pay for it all ourselves. We are also on Facebook.
