GPI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by John A. Hern, Jr. and established in 1985 to find homes for retired racing greyhounds. To date we have placed more than 5,000 of these wonderful dogs throughout the Puget Sound, the Pacific Northwest and Canada. We currently place dogs in Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. GPI is an all volunteer organization and we take great pride in matching and working with our available dogs and adopters.
